Already owning one boutique based on Castle Road, Southsea’s iconic street of unique shops and eateries, they have recently expanded into a second boutique premises just a short distance away over on Marmion Road.
The aptly-named new boutique The Workshop features a larger shop floor and workshop itself located in the back half of the premises, in which customers can see the making of bespoke jewellery pieces through a glazed partition.
Walking into the shop feels like being part of something special from start to finish, including being greeted with champagne and chocolates! Featuring a gorgeous magenta sofa matching the colour scheme of the shop front, artwork from local artist Roo Abrook and, of course, cabinets full of one-off pieces and ready-to-wear collections, the open layout of the shop poses something special.
The boutique offers something you don’t often get from a traditional jewellery shop, and that is the opportunity to be part of your perfect piece from inception to completion which I think is something really special.
While chatting to Charlotte, the owner, she informed me that customers have the ability to go in with simply a few ideas of what they would like, or inherited jewellery and gemstones they would like remodelling, which can all be designed with the in-store goldsmith and director to create something truly unique which the customer will love. After all, they’re here to create jewellery for life (not just for Christmas).
Also on offer are one-off designs, jewellery repair and restoration services carried out in-store, 3D jewellery design services and guest collections.
