Emma’s Beautique Charity Event // Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth

Last night I had the opportunity to head down to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth for the sold-out Emma’s Beautique Charity Event to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise. This is run by Emma from Capital FM, and features loads of local beauty businesses with a chance to showcase what they do. The event also had two talks, one from Blogosphere Magazine founder Alice Audley and one from the lovely Alice from Annie Writes Beauty and Sam from Made From Beauty.

The night began with prosecco and canapes in the downstairs open room in Spinnaker Tower, with lots of natural light and lots going on! Pippa Perrier Glitter were kitting people out with glitter lips, the ladies from the Urban Decay counter taught me how to contour my face and the Organic Treatment Company were doing skin revitalising treatments on people’s hands.

The great team at Lush Portsmouth were there too, helping people make their own Comforter bubble bar – something I’ve done enough times now and visited the store so often that their representative recognised me and we had a nice chat!

The Body Shop crew were there giving out samples, and there were massages, hair stylists and eyebrow treatments going on left, right and centre! After about an hour and a half downstairs enjoying all the treatments, we were ushered upstairs by the Capital FM crew for the talks.
The first was by Alice Audley, founder of Blogosphere Magazine. As it turns out, Alice is a great public speaker and gave the audience a rather motivational speech about chasing your dreams.
The next talk was by Alice and Sam on summer beauty trends, both of whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and are absolutely lovely. Their talk was entertaining and informative, teaching us about all the best new products we need this summer.

All in all, it was a great way to spend a Thursday evening and I’ll make sure to grab a ticket to the next event!
