It literally says in my bio I’m often found wearing leopard print, and it’s not a lie. I love a solid 80s outfit and find the looks so much fun. This summer weather has been making me pull things out of my wardrobe I sort of forgot I owned, and this outfit is just that.
I love a good bit of leopard print and I’ve had this shirt so long, I can’t actually remember where I bought it. It was on sale for about £12 though. I think it was New Look, which coincidentally is also where the skirt is from! It’s just a really simple shirt which can be dressed up or down! The beading around the collar really makes it for me and it’s a lovely length that can be left as is or tied up.
This (faux) leather skirt cost me £19.99 from New Look and I can’t even remember the last time I wore it! Honestly I don’t know why I don’t wear it more. I love the shade of pink and it fits really well. I think my issue is I don’t wear skirts much, let alone ones that are fitted, so I don’t really know how to style it. That being said, I randomly threw it with this shirt and love the combination. It’s very 80s, very colourful, and very me.
Lately I’ve been feeling like my wardrobe has been getting very stale. I think it’s probably something to do with summer. Where it’s been sweltering, I haven’t spent a lot of time experimenting with outfits and it’s been getting me down a lot. Instead, I’ve been throwing on whatever is comfortable so I don’t overheat. To be honest I’m pretty glad it’s cooling down a bit so I can start wearing everything else I’ve got in my wardrobe.
That being said, I won’t stop wearing these boots til they fall apart. A £1 sale bargain from Primark, they’re SO comfy and about as on-brand as I can get with shoes. Silver is my absolute jam when it comes to clothing. I don’t know what it is about it, I just love it. So much so that I actually have two pairs of silver chelsea boots and zero regrets. I think they’re really up the whole 80s outfit vibe and just really cool!
As for the denim jacket, I bought it in Topman when I was about 16. It’s been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. Denim jackets from men’s shops fit so much better and have more pockets, so it’s an easy sale really! I’ll definitely look in men’s shops again when it eventually falls apart, although 7 years later and it’s not showing any signs of that yet.
