Let’s Fall In Love / Valentine’s Day Makeup

Every Valentine’s Day I have a habit of writing a really in-depth post about endless love, heartbreak, and everything in between. Last year I wrote about celebrating and exploring my own body.

Honestly, this year I don’t have the effort for something like that. I’ve been having a lot of ups and downs and honestly, this year I’m struggling with the concept of Valentine’s Day more than I’d like. However, that’s a combination of a lot of things, far more than just the day itself getting me down. So, I’m trying not to let it get to me too much.

This year I’m going to be falling in love. Not with anyone, unfortunately. But with things, experiences, and times. I’ve spent a lot of time this week getting back into things I used to love, like instruments. I recorded a quick lil cover of one of my fave songs you can watch here if you like.

Valentine’s Day itself is going to be spent hosting a movie night of all my single friends so we can be miserable together. With pizza. Always pizza.

I’ve also started exercising pretty regularly to help with my mental health and get fit, which is nice. I’m succeeding and keeping it up as a habit which I’m proud of.

Makeup is a huge hobby of mine and something else I love, so I’ve been channelling my energy into doing some new looks. This one is representative of my thoughts this V-Day – some sadness, some love. I did this mainly with my Morphe 35B palette, MAC Chromaline in High-Def Cyan and a load of gems I own I stuck on with eyelash glue. Because I have a habit of sticking gems on my face.

So that’s my Valentine’s Day 2019 – nothing major, just time to reflect, hang with my best friends and not cry. Probably.

Hope everyone has a great Valentine’s Day and shares some love!
